Support American Soldiers
who are traveling through airports and elsewhere

It really is as easy as anonymously covering a cup of coffee or meal to
show thanks to those in harm's way. A very small gesture that will be
remembered, and cherished, by soldiers who volunteer to
put their lives on the line for all Americans.

About this soldiers support website
Chris Johnson

"I don't want history to remember me at all. I want history to remember all the guys, men and women, who... were willing to serve our country. I want them to remember us. We know that we served" (quoted from the book Warriors).

Yet we shall never forget you, Chris, and the other Warriors who serve so valiantly.

To Benefit American Soldiers

Lance Corporal Chris Johnson, a U.S. Marine, lost his arm in June 2004 during a firefight near Fallujah, Iraq. "I was willing to make the sacrifice - the ultimate sacrifice, but I can't really say it scared me or deterred me," he said in the new film "Warriors... in their own words."

The movie and companion book by photographer Cheryl Forget Cohen and film maker Rex Pratt, both of the LOOC Foundation, are intended to aid wounded service members, their families, and the families of the fatally wounded. Warriors is aimed at showing people "what intelligent, honorable, and brave people we have standing in the way of the free world's demise."

Sergeant Scott Montoya, Second Lieutenant Ilario Pantano, Lance Corporal Mike Jernigan, Colonel James D. McGinley, and Sergeant Frank Cardamone and many, many others appear in the film and book to go beyond the horrors of war to tell why their service is so important to all Americans. A significant number only their first names, as they have returned to the field and therefore need to protect their identities.

The LOOC Foundation produced "Warriors..." to benefit the nonprofit soldier support organization called Freedom Is Not Free. Since its establishment in 2005, Freedom is Not Free has raised funds to serve, support, and increase awareness with the aim of easing our heroes' and their families' burdens.

Tragically, Chris never had a chance to see himself on the big screen. This strong, dedicated young man survived Operation Iraqi Freedom only to die in a boating accident in May 2008.
